Handmade Body Butter and Natural Body Lotion: Your Guide to Etti Soap Creams

At Etti Soap, I make my creams and body butters the same way I make my soaps: by hand, in small batches, here in Port St. Lucie, Florida, with ingredients chosen for how they feel on real skin.

Why Texture Matters

Lotions, butters, and solid lotion bars all moisturize, but they feel very different going on. A pump lotion is light and quick to absorb, perfect for everyday all-over use. A body butter is richer and thicker, made for dry elbows, knees, and winter skin. A solid lotion bar is a balm you warm between your palms, ideal for travel because it never spills and never counts against your liquids bag.

How to Choose Your Cream

Here is my simple advice as the person who makes them all:

• For everyday all-over moisture, choose the Goat Milk Body Lotion. The pump bottle makes it easy, and Pure Veil (Unscented) is the safest pick for sensitive skin.
• For very dry skin or winter, choose the Mango Shea and Mint Body Butter when it is back in stock. Butters seal in moisture longer than lotions.
• For travel, your purse, or targeted dry spots, choose the Body Melt solid lotion bar. It goes exactly where you put it and never leaks.
• For scent lovers, match your lotion to your favorite soap. Tropical Glow lotion pairs beautifully with citrusy bars, and Lavender Calm pairs with any lavender soap.

A little tip from my own routine: apply lotion or butter to slightly damp skin right after your shower. Damp skin absorbs moisture better, and you will use less product.
